Training 2012

More Training = More Skills = More Work

Registration is now open for 2012 Winter/Spring Semester. All training is provided FREE to UBC members. These courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early!

In order to register, members must log in into the training website using your U number (found on your union card) and your birthdate.

Win game tickets! Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins & Celtics

Every member who completes a training class from January through June 2012 will be included in a drawing for chances to win Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriots tickets.

There will be multiple chances to win! There will be one drawing for one pair of tickets for each team – four drawings. You can improve your chances by completing more classes – for every class you complete, your name will be added again to the drawing.

Tickets will be valid Summer/Fall 2012. The ticket drawing will be Friday, June 29, 2012. The Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriots tickets have been generously provided by First Trade Union Bank

Visit NECarpentersTraining.org for a complete class schedule and to register for classes.

Stay in the Know

The New England Regional Council of Carpenters is now sending news and information to members in an email format called the "Council Update."

Wentworth Institute of Technology & The Carpenters

In the fall of 2008, the New England Regional Council of Carpenters along with Wentworth Institute of Technology's College of Professional and Continuing Education launched a tailored program, which enables union carpenters to earn an Associate's Degree in Construction Management in as little as two years. The first class of carpenters graduated from the program in August 2010. In the short time since the program began, it has already expanded to allow union carpenters to pursue a Bachelor's Degree from the prestigious school.
